About the Book

These poems are the perfect cure for parents whose kids break everything they touch or those with spouses who don't replenish the toilet paper, those who obsess over their lawns, those who fail miserably to pay even the slightest bit of attention to their lawns and the people who chastise them. It is a tribute to suburban 'Soccer Moms' who have to weather all this madness and take in all the miracles between doing the laundry and trying to keep pace with the PTA Super mom. These poems are just the antacid they need to make it to another Mother's Day

Rachel Barr, a lifelong resident of the suburbs of Northern Virginia, holds a BA in English from George Mason University. She divides her time between family, playing soccer, tending her herb and scent garden, and writing.
