About the Author

Paul Briand has had a variety of newspaper jobs during more than 25 years in journalism—reporter, editor, new media director, assistant publisher, and operations director. But his favorite job remains writing. It's why he got into the business after graduating in 1975 from the University of New Hampshire. His weekly Boomer Angst column is published in the Salem, Mass., Evening News and, in New Hampshire, the Portsmouth Herald, Exeter News-Letter, Hampton Union and Rockingham News.
