About the Book

Gifts of the Journey is the story of a little boy raised in the loving, nurturing environment of his doting grandmother. One sunny Saturday afternoon his world turned upside down when a stranger appeared at the door and took him away. The stranger was his mother. Thus his journey through darkness began.

The little boy grew into a man, suffered many periods of isolation, loneliness, and despair. He always questioned why this had happened to him, and his struggles seemed endless. Finally, he decided to search for the meaning of forgiveness so he could experience love and put his painful past behind him.

About the Author

Allen Rowe is a former Detective Bureau Commander, Congressional candidate and author of The Justice Corner a weekly newspaper column. He has received awards for valor and leadership. Allen is the father of two grown daughters, Kristi and Angela, and lives in Monterey, Ca. with his wife Clarissa.
