About the Book
The most ineffective journey-filled with the most ineffective instructions and advice-in all the world of literature. How can you boil something in sawdust? How can you threaten a life with a railway-share? How can you rouse someone with mustard and cress? Why should a man's friends call him 'candle-ends' and his enemies 'toasted-cheese'?
What if this nonsense poem has a deeper meaning?
A prophetic meaning?
About a peril that would appear a century after its publication ?
About the Author
Allan Williams (born in 1960 of mixed religion parents) has had many colourful jobs, including being a male stripper from 1985 to 1995. In fact, he admits that his knowledge of the male physique revealed in these pages is drawn almost entirely from observing his fellow-colleagues over that ten-year period. The additional model is the Illustrator himself, who makes an appearance as one of the poem?s characters, though he prefers not to reveal which one. That must be left to the guesswork of the reader, who will also have fun discovering the many other secrets the pictures contain.
