About the Book
North of the River is a exciting and graphic tale of a young Army officer's first tour of duty in the Korean DMZ of 1969. The fact that a low grade war was being fought in Korea at that time is generally unknown to most of the American people.

About the Author
Mark Higginson served as a Field Artillery Officer along the Korean DMZ in 1969-70. He is a retired safety director of a large midwestern energy company. He is a member of the VFW and the USO. He and his wife Susan live in Tellico Village, Tennessee.
