About the Author

Lucas Rivera is a investigative journalist. His research on the Latin Kings involved more than six years of association with the Kings—riding, loafing, and reporting on their attempts to save themselves from the streets of New York. He's covered the war in Nicaragua, the Bhopal disaster in India and most recently the disaster at the World Trade towers. His articles have appeared in Vibe, The Village Voice, Urban Latino, San Juan City Magazine, Paper magazine, Brooklyn Bridge and the New York Daily News. This is his first novel.
