About the Book

For One Brief Moment is the story of one woman's struggle against cancer, a battle that many others fought both before and after her. Some have won, some have lost and with some the battle still rages. But none have gone forth to meet this evil and merciless foe with greater courage or with more loving support from family and friends than Joann, whose story is told here.
This is not a happy story. It is told with sadness and pain and sorrow and with a sense of guilt on the part of some who survive. But it is also a story of bravery and strength and determination and endurance and of the love that helped to light her lonely way.

About the Author

Larry Weaver still lives in the house in College Park, Georgia, that he shared with Joann for more than thirty years. He is the author of one other book, Mama Never Cried. (Writers Club Press, 2000)
