He has previously published short stories, poems and articles in various magazines and newspapers. His book, Rediscovering Cuba: A Personal Memoir, has received wide acclaim and been featured in articles and television interviews. His other books include the book of poetry My Words Mean Something and a book in Spanish for children about the human anatomy.
