About the Author
John Clagett was born in Kentucky and graduated from the Naval Academy in 1940. He served on PT boats in the Pacific. His boat went down February 1, 1943. He had a tour of Foreign Service in Oslo, Norway and received his PhD from Yale in 1954. He has published nineteen books, and enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing and reading.
