The day hadn't started quite as Cody Holland had hoped. There had been a few too many of those days of late. Marrying dime-store novelist Richard Brown, though, who had once moonlighted as a high school English teacher, with his bad boy image both a blessing and a curse, kicked her celebrity up a notch. With a gleam in her eyes, Cody accepted every opportunity to get her face and name in the news. Then love was just another four-letter word.
