About the Book

While serving in Vietnam, Steve Cannon reflects upon all he has learned as he struggles to be a good combat leader. About the Author

After serving in the USMC, including a tour in Vietnam, Dennis S. Chapman completed his formal education, receiving BS and MEd. degrees. An educator for thirty years, he was a Search and Rescue volunteer and a member of the Mountain Rescue Association. He is currently a patrol deputy for the Utah County Sheriff's Office and lives in Utah with his family. He can frequently be found enjoying the solitude at the confluence of Lake Temiskaming and the Kipawa River.
