This book traces the history of medicine, its treatments and its organization to the present day. It explains how the modern practice if medicine became what it is, lists both its successes and its failures, and offers suggestions for its future.

About the Author

Donald V. Gawronski teaches history, political science, and futurism at the college level and has written three college texts. His interests include a study of change and societal and organizational resistance to change, especially as it affects health care. He resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he continues to lecture, consult, and write.
