About the Author

Born in Spokane, Washington. Rex Brainard graduated from Washington State University in 1959 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked for several years for the aerospace industry. Rex has been involved with extensive, high energy hiking and climbing in Washington's Cascade Mountains for over 35 years and is still going!
