About the Book
Fast moving true story of an 19 year old seaman struck down by Malaria and awaking from a 3 day coma in a French field hospital, unable to converse with anyone. Frightened and lonely he relies entirely on his nurse who is older than him and falls in love with her. Against the backdrop of a vicious war in which he had no part and a Government that disowned him, he fought another battle to have his love reciprocated.
With the aid of flashbacks the Author has painted a grim picture endurance that will make the reader want to weep in places and laugh in others as they share his horrors and joys.
