About the Book
From the author of The Eleanor Roosevelt Girls comes this highly acclaimed first novel.
"Joanna Banana might have become an accomplished actress, singer, playwright — and part of the author's genius is that we never doubt it...This is a novel with a raised consciousness, a mature, intelligent novel of real talent and excitement."
—Publishers Weekly
"Joanna Banana's high velocity monologue is raucous, dirty-truthful and charmingly funny. She's the lady inside all of us, waiting to get out and take our piece of the action."
—The San Francisco Chronicle
