Swept up in the religious turmoil of Philadelphia in the 1840s, a young Catholic governess finds herself enchanted with the Quaker family which she serves-but is town between the love bestowed upon her by the father of the household and his oldest son.

About the Author

Beatrice Evans Landenberger is a lifelong Philadelphian, with a passion for that City's history and textured personalities. She researched the City's geography and religious turmoil of the 1840s, in preparation for this, her first book.
