About the Author

Abdul Karim Bangura is a researcher-in-residence at the Center for Global Peace and a professor of International Relations in the School of International Service at American University. He holds Ph.D. degrees in Political Science, Development Economics, Linguistics, and Computer Science. He is also the author of 22 books and more 230 scholarly articles.
