When Ian Norman, noted professor of North American History at the University of London, travelled to southeast Montana, he expected a quiet trip to visit an old friend. But his simple side-line of toy soldier manufacturer led him into murder, and romance, centering around the Little Big Horn Battlefield.

The author has long been a collector of toy soldiers, as well as an avid amatuer historian. A frequent visitor to London, he lives in Chicago with his family.
