About the Book

After a failed marriage and miscarriage, Maggie Wentworth and her sister Allison relocate from the noise and stressful pace of Manhattan to rural upstate New York, where they hope to find a simpler, more meaningful life. The diaries discovered in a steamer trunk in the attic of the old Victorian house they bought, brings Maggie into spiritual contact with a woman much like herself, who lived there fifty years earlier.

About the Author

Judith Goldfarb-Birnbaum was born in Brooklyn, NY. A true "child of the 60's," she is a prolific writer of novels, poetry, short stories and songs. Married to fellow novelist L.G. Birnbaum, she will soon be relocating to the wide, open spaces of New Jersey's farm country.
