About the Book
Mary Shepherd escapes an abusive family and travels to New York with the memory of her aborted child. Plagued by nightmares and her ghosts of the past, she seeks solace in her companion, Fisher. Through her struggle, she sees life through the eyes of a prostitute, a friend and a mother, before finally learning to purge the sins that haunt her.
