It's a book about learning to love and accept yourself just as you are, regardless of what others may say to you. It's about being happy, not conforming to what others think and knowing that the only opinion that counts about you, is YOUR opinion.

There is one thing that makes a great writer: Life experience.

I know when I pick up a book and start reading it, the one thing that keeps me interested is how much the writer put into his or her work. I?ve always wanted to be that type of writer.

So, when I sat down at my computer to compose The Fat Girl Chronicles, I put as much of myself into it as I could because I want those who read it to get to know me.

I want to share my personal ups and downs so that others know that they are not alone.

I am from New Orleans, a place where spirit and tenacity are in abundance. I wanted to put together something that showed my heart, just like the place where I was born and raised.
