About the Book

There’s a secret that is well kept in the desert. Once a year, only when a cursed season comes, the most unthinkable operation shall run its course. And in search of a better life, individuals begin their journey of migration to another world. When the season allows the journey, the great Sahara desert prepares to let migration cross on to the Mediterranean Sea. Their adventures are filled with loss, sufferings and a fight for survival.

About the Author

Yodit Semu, 23 lives in the State of Washington. Originally from Ethiopia, born and raised in the city of Addis Ababa, moved to US in February 2004. Writing has always been her passion; and this particular story in the TRAIL OF AGONY was the ultimate inspiration for her to tackle on her potentials and pursuit her dream of becoming a writer. Being an immigrant herself in the United States, the story has a deep personal perspective for her. She feels it is admirable how the US is composed of people from all around the world and that it’s even more commendable how the people fit in and adapting a new culture as a whole, and yet they all had a completely different story. She merely told one of them.
