About the Book

A Mirrored Surprise is the second collection of sermons by the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey A.Mackey to be published in recent years. The demand for his unique and personable expression of devotional exegesis seems to remain constant. The sermons and homilies in this volume are those from the early months of his ministry as the Interim Rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Orchard Park, New York, a ministry he found refreshing, rewarding, and indescribably delightful.

About the Author

The Rev. Dr. Jeffrey A. Mackey is a priest in The Episcopal Church, canonically resident in the Diocese of New York. He has been in pastoral ministry and academic administration in church related post-secondary institutions since 1971. He was awarded the Doctor of Ministry and the Doctor of Divinity degree by The Graduate Theological Foundation, and he is the founder of the Anglican Order of Preachers [the Dominicans]. He is married to Martha LaVonne Mackey, an academic and public librarian. They have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren. The Mackeys split their time between homes in New York and Louisiana.
