Douglas Harmon, an obstetrician catering to wealthy mothers-to-be, and his ex-wife, Sarah Goodman, have just gone through a nasty divorce. Unfortunately, Sarah is still under Douglas's thumb and caters to his whims, demands, and threats. When Sarah's sisters, Allison and Midge, become involved in the mess, the entire family teeters on the brink of disaster. Allison has an affair with Douglas that ends on Christmas Eve, leaving her with thoughts of revenge. Midge gets caught in a trap of blackmail and deceit. When Douglas is murdered, suspicions immediately turn to Sarah and her two sisters.

Detectives Gerry Flynn and Charley Taylor are assigned to the case. One stumbling block after another impedes their investigation, and time is running out. Before the case gets cold, Gerry must think of a plan to bring the killer out in the open. By the time the murderer is brought to justice, secrets abound, surprises erupt, and the skin and bones of the Goodman and Harmon families are exposed.

Ruth Wendrovsky is a former educator now living in Virginia. She has written many short stories and essays, and has written and adapted children?s plays. Three of a Kind is Wendrovsky?s first full-length mystery novel. She is currently working on her second book.
