About the Book
In this conception of poetry, I have entwined fantasy and reality, inviting you, the reader, to decide for yourselves, which is which. From the vampire immortal, to the vampire in man, from heavenly visions, to heaven on earth. Of life, loss, and love eternal, affairs of the heart and head. With written words we share, with poetry we connect. Creating dreams, speaking truths, baring our souls. To all who hunger...let us feast. Lisa Herman-Gagnon
About the Author
Poet, author, artist, musician and actress, Lisa Herman-Gagnon was the first-born daughter of a large family in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Residing for brief periods in wintry Minnesota and Montana with her professorial father and actress mother, she spent most of her childhood growing up in Hawaii, making her stage debut at age seven in her father's play, "Mr. Highpockets." In the islands, she appeared in many other stage productions, her forte musical theater and was awarded a private school musical scholarship. After marrying a professional musician, William Gagnon, in 1980, the couple built an enviable reputation performing throughout New York, Connecticut, Long Island, with another year and a half spent performing back at her island home. In 1987, they settled in Oregon so they could be near her family. In Portland, Lisa became well-known as an actress/singer in local stage productions, playing lead roles in "King and I", "Camelot" and "The Three-Penny Opera." Between visits to Scotland, one of her favorite countries and second home, linked by her mother's ancestry, Lisa worked and studied to develop her skills in poetry and wrote several screenplays and novels, focusing on vampires and the supernatural, just a few of her fascinations since childhood. This is her first published book of poems, reflecting her passion for Vampires and Angels, her joy of living and life's lessons, and her commitment to the causes of justice and hope for universal peace.
