About the Book
Poem Opera is a unique compilation of poetry inspired by great writers such as T. S. Elliot and W. H. Auden. The poetry depicts human emotions, rage, loss, love in abundance, unrequited love, deception, faith, and many other analogies in the lives of others.
This book also includes the play Dilaphadese which takes place in the 1920's. It involves a famous artist named Dilaphadese who happens to be mulatto and his love affair with the daughter of a prominent aristocrat Mr. Hookstone. Their secret love revealed leads to the downfall of a family empire as they knew it. This play is sure to keep the reader tangled in the many webs of the lives of its characters which are painted so vividly.About the Author
Playwright Allen Walker has been writing poetry and plays since ninth grade. His first publication was titled Rain Scenes, which was a book of love poems. Allen resides in Thomaston, Georgia, a small town where he and his wife grew up. He lived in Atlanta for over 17 years and moved back to allow his four children to enjoy the benefits of a close knit town and the country life. He is currently working on a book titled A Rumor of Mischief, due to come out soon.
