About the Author

Originally from Bolton, Lancashire, England UK after spending a year working on cruise ships Mark Harrison moved to Santa Cruz California. Were he worked for two national sales companies in advertising and payroll sales. In 1996 one of the local bar owners at 99 Bottles Of Beer On The Wall in Santa Cruz California asked Mark for an idea to help generate sales on a slow evening, Mark suggested hosting a trivia night and the owners ask him to be the host and implement the show, reluctantly Mark agreed to do the show and so was born A Brit Of Trivia ten years later he is still doing the trivia night, so word got around about the trivia night and Mark was approached by other bars which he now supplies questions to on a weekly basis. People love the trivia night which consist of audio and visuals questions. Mystery voices, Mystery sounds, Name that tune TV Themes, some of the visual hand out sheets and questions you will see here in the book. The bar is extremely busy and people are having fun. Coming up with new categories is challenging and I am not to sure other people would take as much time as Mark does in putting this kind of trivia night together, but it is worth it each time Mark turns up hand out the trivia sheets, pencils and then picks up the microphone looks down and see an eager waiting audience. The strangest thing of all is that I had never been to a trivia night in England or America before I started this. I don?t call it trivia night or quiz night I like to think of it as entertainment.
