About the Book

Cassandra Blake and Joshua Brett do not meet at the best of times. He is confined to a wheelchair with paralysis. As a consequence, he has become frustrated, rude, obstinate and chauvinistic. She, on the other hand, is a physical therapist who has suffered the loss of her fiancé and her girlfriend. She is also facing the possible death of a very dear friend.

Joshua needs Cassandra and uses his money to get what he wants. Their path is rocky as they walk a tightrope of emotions, both enduring more trials in their lives. Unexpectedly, a 3 yr old boy becomes Joshua's ward, and Cassandra becomes more and more entrenched in his household. He asks her to marry him, but the words that follow his proposal are like a shower of ice water.

Joshua has another near-fatal incident and survives. Then, when Cassandra is in danger, he must go to her despite his disability. Fear for her life drives him. Can love grow out of desperate situations?

About the Author
