About the Author
Like the title character of his book, Walter H. Stern was a young immigrant from Hitler?s Germany. After earning a degree in journalism he wrote on the staff of The New York Times, then segued into the public relations field. He retired as a public relations executive at Mobil Corporation. Hannelore Rex draws heavily on his own experiences as a newcomer to America. Stern is the author of five previous books.
