About the Book

Beginning with a tragedy no one should endure, Jared's perfect world progressively continues to crash around him: the loss of his first marriage, his military career and subsequently his finances, his police partner to death, his identity through an unpredictably dysfunctional wife and finally, to his benefit, his impulsive trust in women.

Through one of the characters, Jared is put in contact with a woman from Russia; an unlikely heroine who attempts to tear down the massive wall protecting his heart from any possibility of disappointment, as well as any happiness. Soon their love, a passion so newly developed, will be the only simple, uncomplicated aspect of their lives together.

Governments, double agents, betrayal and murder all intrude among the many twists you never see coming, as they collide forward into the story's climax. The spirit of their personalities also shines as the jokes they play on one another during their times together are a welcome relief, as well as some of the funniest situations ever created.

About the Author

Lee was born in acclaimed Savannah, Georgia and has spent the last 27 years in military, federal, investigative and security service since 1980. His work and life experiences, joyful and tragic, are the catalyst of all his literary and poetic works.
