The current generation of elderly persons are also the longest lived population to date. The Baby Boomers are expected to live even longer But at what cost?

Information gathered from studying this current population reveals that Seniors have not aged well. This group has experienced the greatest loss of physical and mental function as compared to previous generations. While, all along, living longer with such disabilities.

The BHS Factor represents an opportunity, to learn from this Elder Generation, not only how we might live longer but more importantly live better.

About the Author

I am a medical physician practicing in Wilmington Delaware for the past thirteen years. I primarily provide Geriatric services within the long-term care continuum and have clinical and administrative experience in this field of medicine. I have received many awards and accolades for my involvement and commitment to the elderly population and have enjoyed this experience. As a physician I realize that this current population is the first to experience this kind of longevity and believe they hold the key to more successful aging and I have become more intrigued with examining and researching these possibilities.
