About the Book

They are attacked by crocodiles, hippopotami and leopards become involved with the long arm of the South African Security Forces, save a young Arab girl who has been kidnapped, recover a kings ransom in treasure.

Chase and are chased across two continents, get involved with a Nazi collaborator, but most of all it is about the trust, and respect, of two men, one white, the other black.

The story is based on actual experiences, original names of places are used, names of characters have been changed where it is felt living relatives could be disadvantaged because of the publication of the facts, due to changed circumstances existing in Zimbabwe, and Mozambique.

About the Author

He now lives in retirement with his wife in the Fairest Cape. Having traveled throughout sub-Saharan Africa in the nineteen fifties, involved in the construction of railways, highways, dams, and bridges, the author built hospitals, universities, schools, colleges, and thousands upon thousands of houses for the people of South Africa.

He has a rich source of anecdotes and experiences from living during the most exciting time, in the most beautiful land, during the changes from colonialism, to nationalism, to democracy.
