    Former state Senator Russ Weeks is a lifelong West Virginian who served in the Navy, where he was directly involved with the Cuban Missile Crisis. After a career in private business, he was elected to the West Virginia Senate. He and his wife, Helen, reside in Beckley, West Virginia.
