About the Book

A clandestine sensual romance between Emily Winters and her sister's husband is unleashed.

In an effort to separate herself from the demands and attention of such an alliance and escape the rigorous hum-drum of a professional career that has long dominated her life, Emily travels abroad, hoping the distance between feelings and action would, in time, terminate the relationship.

However, under a false sense that all is well and forgiven and with an intense gnawing of home-sickness, Emily returns home to Fisherman Falls and is trapped in a struggle between a convincing new-found love and the shadows of her previous, formidable and impassioned life-style.

About the Author

Floyd F. Clark is a retired Peace Officer who became an avid writing enthusiast while in college. It was during those collegiate years, Forbidden Happiness was originally penned for submission as his college thesis. Although the work showed promise, it was recognized only as a novelette in form. Clark became discouraged and the manuscript was packed away for many decades. With the technical age of the computer and word processor, the work re-surfaced, and with an additional year of assiduous devotion it was expanded into a well-written, marketable love story. Clark, long noted for his poetic efforts, has been successfulin having his poem, "My Mother's Quilts" honored with its inclusion in The International Library of Poetry's anthology, The Dawn of Inspiration, now in production. Clark hopes Forbidden Happiness will be recognized for its literary merit as well.
