Zach looked at me gently; his eyes deep and quiet as he spoke, "Tori, when we went to the Shadow Keep, remember how it seemed remarkably empty? Like nothing was there? Well, that's because it was Tori, the Shadow Keep is open, and that's why you couldn't come back; that's why Emerald Point is destroyed. Everything's wrong, because the Keep is open, and we can't close it."

A shadow is covering the land and has left destruction in its path. Returning to a land once so fair, Tori discovers that Emerald Point is destroyed, and doesn't know what to do. Secrets are unraveling, lies uncovered, and Tori's live is turned upside down. In all this chaos, she's left alone, or not so.

One girl must figure out how to find herself in the midst of destruction to help stop it, but will it be soon enough? With darkening shadows across the land, she stands to fight in victory or defeat.

Ame Raine, 14, is a young author who lives in Nampa, ID, and is attending her last year at West Middle School. As she finishes her trilogy, she admits, although school slows down her work, it doesn?t dampen her spirit, as she continues to write one page at a time.
