About the Book
The Childcare Textbook For Teachers, Nannies, & Daycare Providers 2006 - 2007 Edition is the essential childcare primer for new parents & those employed to care for children in a private home or daycare setting. When the first edition was written more than twenty years ago, it quickly became a staple in childcare training programs in the United States and abroad. Since then, it has been the only childcare textbook that included topics specifically relating to those providing in-home childcare; nannies, au pairs, babysitters, family daycare providers and informal caregivers.
The Childcare Textbook covers the full range of topics that anyone intending to provide high quality childcare-in any setting-must know. From; Keeping Children Safe, Understanding Pediatric Illness, Providing Optimal Nutrition, Building Self-esteem in children, Curriculum & Creative Play, to topics that are directed at the professional development of the childcare provider, including; Ethics for Childcare Professionals, Keys to a Lasting Caregiver/Parent relationship, Skills for Effective Communication, Understanding Loss & Grief and much more, are all covered in this new edition.
The Childcare Textbook For Teachers, Nannies, & Daycare Providers 2006 - 2007 Edition is an essential reference for anyone responsible for the care of a child.
