About the Book

They were men of principle. They were willing to fight for the cause. And willing to die for it. They stood their ground for justice in one of the greatest countries on earth: the United States of America. This is their story . . . an impressive history of the American Civil War, through the eyes of the men who lived it. The men of the Pennsylvania Bucktail Regiment, who, with courage and determination, contributed to a Northern victory.

The book is based on 144 letters written by two civil veterans and others. The battle scenes are vivid, the story compelling. Because, without them, history would not have been the same.
