Yuna Park is just a regular Korean-American teenager. But that all changes when one day her parents decide to go back to their home country-Korea!

She is shocked by her extremely traditional family, but she gradually adjusts by abandoning her "American" past. Six years pass and Yuna Park is now more Korean than American. Her father again surprises the family by moving back to America. Angry at her father's decision, Yuna tries to resist, but has no choice.

Yuna again feels culture shock from the American teen culture. Not knowing how to be the standardized American, she only feels safe in her Korean crowd.

Things change as she adjusts to American life. One at a time, Yuna untangles the misunderstandings she used to have, eventually overcoming her stereotypes. As she attempts "make-overs" with her American friends, Yuna realizes the only problem of not fitting into the American society is herself. About the Author

Kyusun Chung is no stranger to culture shock. Born in Korea, Kyusun moved to the United States with her family while still a baby and enjoyed an "American" childhood. When her family moved back to Korea, she was plunged into an unfamiliar culture. Later, her family moved back to the U.S., and the conservative Korean girl she had become was shocked by the openness in American teen culture. Now a senior in high school, Kyusun tells how she found her position between the two cultures. Kyusun lives in Columbus, Ohio.
