About the Author
Carla Lavern Parham is a native of Virginia and has traveled to Africa several times as a missionary.
Carla majored in English at George Mason University, has a B.A. in journalism and is currently pursuing a Masters in practical theology from Regent University.
Carla has published two prior books, Though It Tarries: Do Not Awaken Love Until It?s Time and Women of the Word. She has contributed poems to several printed anthologies and an anthology on CD, Sounds of Poetry. Also, she has written a recorded gospel song,I Told Jesus.
Carla has received the International Poet of Merit Award, three Diamond Homer Trophies from the Hollywood Famous Poets Society and countless other recognition because of her talents. In 1995, she was inducted into the Homer Society For International Poets.
