Edge of Reason traces Elizabeth Parker's life through her abuses suffered as a child, into insanity as she deals with schizoaffective disorder as an adult. Despite climbing the ladder of success, she plummets into destructive depressions and suicidal thoughts.

After growing up as a lesbian, she enters into a relationship that endures several years of her undiagnosed illness. When Elizabeth first decides to add another woman to the already-established relationship, it seems that everything is going her way-a successful career and an intense love triangle. But her dive into depression tests the words "I love you," bringing up the question of who really loves whom.

Elizabeth's dreams and nightmares of unfulfilled expectations explode into a thousand different directions when her illness propels her to the brink of suicide. Just when Elizabeth believes there is no hope, the light shines through-but at what cost? Everything she believes to be real may be only a figment of her imagination and paranoia or is it?

About the Author

Victoria Allison was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. She lives in Windsor, Colorado, with her girlfriend and daughter. Edge of Reason is her first novel.
