About the Book

This book is about why not to have wars and how we need to work on preventing unnecessary wars. How we can coexist peacefully and devote our energy and intellect to better humanity in many ways and its future. What could be done to prevent and stop a war? What each of us, as ordinary citizens, can do in the name of peace? What politicians and countries leaders could do in the name of peace? How we can reduce and eliminate wars on Earth for better humanity? In short, purpose of this book is to portray wars as ugly and senseless as they can be, and peace as rewarding and sensible as it can be. I hope this book will provoke or stimulate some of readers to talk, write and work towards lasting peace on our planet Earth. We have a duty to do that for our children, future generations and ourselves.

About the Author

Uzeir Huskic, retired professional engineer has been living in Toronto since 1970. He worked in elevators industry from 1970 to July 2007 when he retired. He came to Canada in 1968 from Bosnia, former Yugoslavia. Almost all his life he was intrigued and appalled by wars and human nature to cause wars and mass killings. In this his firs book he tries to challenge the readers to work and contribute to lasting peace in the world for benefits to all.
