Whispers on Desert Winds

About the Book

As pilgrims of the faith, we find some of the greatest insights into our journey of faith through simplicity. The Desert is the place of simplicity, but it is not a geographical place, but a place for our spirit to meet God's spirit. In that simplicity, the Whispers of God are heard in loud thundering announcements of God's presence and in the silent nudges of God's spirit upon our lives. To hear those whispers we must listen with more than ears.

Lay aside your theologies and ideologies and listen with new ears. People of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and many pilgrims whose spirituality does not fit nicely into any of these traditional religions have listened to the Winds of God, and they have heard his voice and spirit with new power.

Whispers on Desert Winds are heard by educated and uneducated, the rich and the poor, and the privileged and underprivileged. All can hear the Whispers of God, which lead to a new insight into the life of the spirit.

About the Author

Ronald J. Crandall, a retired United Methodist pastor, lives with his wife, Judith, in Seaside, Oregon. Born and educated in Eugene, Oregon, he graduated from the U of O with a BA. He graduated from Garrett Theological Seminary with an MDiv Degree. He pastored United Methodist churches in Oregon and Idaho for 37 years.
