FOR TOO MANY YEARS, living in the moment was all that mattered to me. I existed in a tortuous cycle of alcohol, men, parties, and sexual encounters, trying to fulfill the endless well of loneliness in my soul. But nothing worked—until I hit rock bottom. Emptiness and depression continued to plague me, and it was only when I discovered my husband’s infidelity that I finally realized what had been missing from my life: God. About the Author

Rose Shackelford grew up in Burke, New York, the fourth of five girls. Shortly after high school, she joined the U.S. Air Force and traveled the world within a ten-year span. Rose and her husband, Brian, have four children: Yasmine, Amina, Simone, and Josiah. She earned a bachelor?s degree in psychology.
