About the Book
The unreported and unrecorded experiences of a Louisiana state legislator. A reader will get an unfiltered look behind the scenes.
"This book plows rich new ground. The Legislature is a great stage and seldom has anyone reported so adeptly on the histrionics and humor of it. We see it through the perceptive eyes of Ron Gomez, a skilled journalist who later served honorably and effectively in the Louisiana House of Representatives. If offers a unique double-barreled perspective." Bob Hamm Author, humorist, and editorial writer for the Lafayette Advertiser "All your suspicions or concepts of the back rooms of politics may be validated then again, they may be shattered." Chapter I "This book is a welcome insight to Louisiana politics a superb account by an ex-legislator with a schooled eye for the successes and failures of Louisiana's unique system of government." William Conway, Ph.d., former Secretary, Wisconsin Dept. of Regulation and Licensing, former aide to Louisiana Governor Buddy Roemer Tell someone you're considering running for public office and you will usually get encouragement and praise for your courage and selflessness. Tell a stranger you are an elected official and you'll most likely suddenly read mistrust, derision or worse in his eyes. Chapter XXAbout the Author
