About the Book

In Robin Ervin's book Champion! The Ron Hornaday Jr Story you will learn about the man known as the 'Master of the Restarts' and the people who helped him on his journey to racing greatness.

Ron Hornaday Jr is a two-time Truck Series Champion. (The Truck Series is one of NASCAR's three premiere racing divisions.) When NASCAR's Truck Series was created, the great Dale Earnhardt picked Hornaday to drive his #16 truck. Hornaday's racing duels on the tracks made the series popular and set the mark to beat for all future Truck Series drivers.

Ten years later, many of Hornaday's track records still have not been beaten.

Champion! The Ron Hornaday Jr story chronicles the career of one of the most talented and charismatic racecar drivers in NASCAR today. It follows his journey up through the ranks from local racing hero to nationally known racing star.

About the Author

Robin Ervin has been a friend and fan of the Hornaday for many years. She is also a freelance writer/photographer and has been a member of the Eastern Motorsports Press Association since 1996. When not writing about racing, she can often be found at a local kart track racing her Hornaday look-alike kart. Currently, she is a student at Mercer County Community College studying Television Production and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society. Robin resides in Ewing New Jersey with her husband Tom and her Mother, Barb.
