About the Book
"This immortal combat which is life is wilder than fiction."
-Eastern Orthodox saying.
There's an evil, pervasive spirit in the world today, whose existence is being denied. This evil spirit is causing much confusion and desperation, enveloping the Children of God with a darkness. A darkness that means death. The death of the soul!
Whenever this evil seems on the verge of overwhelming the good, God sends great saints, Sons and Daughters of Thunder, to fight His great battles with Love. The time of these battles has arrived.
This work delights, enriches, teaches and sends chills down your spine, in a page-turning story of mystery, romance, and suspense, as individuals battle to do good in a world that's lost it's way.
"May this book be as an arrow, piercing the frozen hearts of those too smart, those too busy, too successful, or too angry to hear the Lord's voice."
-Robert Epperly
About the Author
Robert Epperly left a successful career with all the trimmings for a mountain in Colorado where he rediscovered his Catholic faith and grew in love for Jesus Christ. After a year on the High Plains Desert, his calling was to the streets of New York City and its homeless young people, the street kids.
After serving in New York as a missionary for two years and several bouts with severe burnout, this dedicated champion of youth met his one and only and traded in his Harley for a mini-van and eventually a pile of kids.
A man of prayer, Robert, has been blessed with the grace of witnessing first hand many events that can only be described as ?supernatural.? At the precise moment when he informed his son Johny of his intention to write this book for the Lord, the power went out in his neighborhood and a huge rainbow burst across the sky above them.
Every diabolical obstacle to this work followed in an attempt to halt the completion of this book, including Robert being a passenger in a car wreck that should have ended his life, instead emerging almost unscathed after being extricated with the ?jaws of life.? By God?s mercy the author never quit and the result is a page-turning story of mystery and romance that witnesses and teaches the love of God and His concern for His creatures at this critical time in history.
Mostly based on real events, including his horrendous motorcycle crash, and originally penned in long hand, the work was intended for young adults and the unlearned in the faith, but is written in such a style as to be of interest to all.
The author, a Catechist for three years, has been asked in recent years to consider the Deaconate but has had to decline in order to focus on his ministry as a father of five children.
