About the Book

Our Founding Fathers fought, and in some cases died, for the dream of a government of the people, for the people and by the people. In those words, Roy Simpson found something in which to believe. Looking to Washington, Roy saw that dream fading. Like embers beneath the ashes, the "will of the people" sat smothered by political double-talk and empty promises. Roy found himself compelled to stoke the ashes, re-igniting the fire of the American spirit. He challenged a political system that had become a nightmare - a government of the rich, for the special interests, buy a politician. Rebelling against the political machine, he asked the nation "Where Do We Go From Here?" In the end, would he become just another political pawn, or victim of something more sinister?

About the Author

Paul W. DeSurne has had the opportunity to speak with hundreds of families. From those discussions, one common theme emerged - everyone felt their government did not represent their best interests. These conversations were the inspiration for this novel. He resides in Kentucky with his wife and son.
