About the Author
M. Abla, a native of Hampton, Virginia, has always been intrigued by the power of words. Growing up in middle class America did not always make it easy, especially coming from two Ghanaian parents. However, she was able to overcome the struggles of being a minority and the common hardships of inadequacy and insecurity most young adolescents go through and she is ready to share her experiences with the world. M. Abla graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor?s Degree in English and went on to receive her Master of Arts in Media Management from Norfolk State University. M. Abla currently resides in Richmond, Virginia working as a Marketing Specialist.
