As Lila walked through the halls of her school towards her class she noticed something different. It wasn't something that she could see or hear. It was a feeling. She sensed that something was about to happen. Boy was she right.
The minute she saw Mr. Carlino's face she could not take her eyes off of him. It was those eyes. They showed no mercy. Lila had heard someone say that your eyes are a window to your soul. She never believed them, until now. All she saw of that man was an evil person who only cared about himself.

Lily Citrin was 10 years old at the time she wrote The Apprentice?s Apprentice. She lives in Connecticut. She has three dogs, two brothers, two parents and a lot of good friends.
