A Poem for Autumn

About the Book

Autumn Smythe doesn't foresee anything unusual on the early October evening when she drives home from a party. But her entire world changes when she finds herself lost in a dark forest during a blizzard. She seeks shelter at The Inn at the End of the Road, where a ghostly innkeeper saves her from the storm, but charges her with an unusual mission she cannot decline.

Autumn leaves the next morning on an unwilling quest to locate a man whose identity is a mystery. What ensues is a thrilling adventure that winds through the White Mountains of New Hampshire and chilling dreamscapes, through Boston's oldest neighborhoods and, finally, a graveyard in a distant land. Haunted by her dreams, and frightened by shocking news about the innkeeper's death, Autumn seeks distraction in the arms of a handsome stranger.

The stranger's fiery passion leads her perilously close to losing herself in a world of violence and deceit. But her terrors are compounded when she unveils the identity of the man she is to find. Autumn finds herself torn between two lovers and forced to make a decision that leads her to the most thrilling discovery of all: that love is powerful enough to transcend even death.

K. E. Correll is a known teller of stories, dreamer of dreams, and lover of poetry. During many of her waking hours she also enjoys financial counseling and teaching college in Boston.
